Favorite Scrapper Blog Hop

A bit more than a week ago I've been tagged by my sweet friend Beshka for the "Favorite Scrapper Blog Hop"! I feel honored & THANKS SO MUCH BESHKA for what you wrote about me!!!

So this week it is my turn to answer a few questions about me.
HERE WE GO:
1. What am I working on right now?
Actually, besides preparing to be a mom veeeery soon & preparing a move just shortly after birth already takes quite a large amount of time... but yesterday I managed to start making the Baby Announcements... at least what can be prepared without actual informations about the lil one. And I have to say: I JUST LOVE LETTERPRESSING!!!!

2. How long does it take me to create a project?
Honestly, that really depends... With the "12 in 14 challenge" projects i was quite fast most of the time, because I had the prompt swirling in my mind the whole month in advance & once I had the idea - the layout came together quite fast.
On the contrary cards can take me forever... haha... or not... really depends on mood & inspo.

3. What are my favorite things to create with at the moment?
I cannot live without LABELS! Honestly! And mostly the Studio Calico ones I can printncut with my beloved Silhouette Cameo!
And I LOVE stamping!

4. How does my creating process work? & 5. How do I become and stay inspired?
Hm,... I do need to have an idea in mind... but I am no "scrap lifter"...
Sometimes I go through the hashtags #scrapbooking (honestly not THAT inspiring), #studiocalico (much better!) or #projectlife on instagram or browse the DT gallery on the SC website to get in the flow... but as I said: no scraplifting from this gal...
Then the picture is my starter - i choose paper that coordinates and then... let it flow...

6. What is my signature style?
I think I can really say I am no messy scrapper (though through being part of the STROMSTIGT-DT & the "12 in '14 challenge I've tried some new techniques this year that were definitely messier than my comfort techniques.)
I like my pages organized or following a (invisible) grid.
I'd say my style is rather clean & graphic, but not minimal.

AND NOW - may I invite you to hop over to the following three favorite scrappers of mine?

First up is Marit, a fellow German scrapper. She has a lovely light style! She crafts adorable mini-albums & layouts. And if that wouldn't be enough she creates wonderful quilts (oh, how I'd LOVE to own one!!!) and cooks & bakes yummy things, too!
Marit

Next is my STROMSVIGT-DT colleague Magdalena:
She has a very creative/graphic style in her layouts & PL - and I've got a feeling she's a scrapbooking-layout-producing-machine!!! (-;

Magdalena

Last but surely not least: Aimee.
One can see that I have a faible for graphic scrappers - Aimee is another one - and she also is a graphic designer like I am - wohooo - hey colleague! Her layouts are so so lovely - and can you imagine she started scrapbooking not that long ago?!
Aimee

OK, THAT'S IT FROM ME FOR TODAY!
Hop over to these ladies fabulous blogs today and maybe also next monday when they continue the "Favorite Scrapper Blog Hop"!

See ya!!!!

STROMSVIGT DT - September "12 in '14 challenge"

Hello ladies!

Or are there any gents out there reading my blog?

Of course, my lovely husband! (;

Anyone else?

Ok, back to the theme...

This month Nina challenged us to go minimalistic...

hahaaaa,... many of you know that I'm a graphic designer and those need to work minimalistic at times,...BUT... scrapbooking is my hobby & I free myself as much as I can!

And HELLOOOOO? I have so much gorgeous stuff...

So this is as minimalistic as i could get for this layout:

matted pictures, Project Life cards, stamps, alphas in a restricted color scheme. I LOVE it!

First step was finding the perfect PL cards for the layout from Liz Tamanaha's "Midnight" kit and positioning them on the page.

Then I added the matted pictures.

...the stamped Studio Calico label,...

...the Amy Tangerine & American Crafts alphas...

... more STROMSVIGT stamps... & a tiny camera from a recent SC stampset that I won.

...as well as this gorgeous handwritten "SELFIE" stamp designed by my sweet friend Laura aka "lorabailora" (;

I hope you like it? Maybe i can encourage you to create a minimalistic project? If yes, hop over to Nina's blog to enter it to win something!
And to Magdalena for her take

That's it for now...

Bye lovelies!

08 Juli 2014

July STROMSVIGT "12 in '14"-challenge

hey there!

Back with this month's prompt "geometric".
Here's what I came up with:

A winter-themed layout in June? Why not!? (((;
I had these in my to-use-pics for a really long time... 'til now! (;

Using the "Special Delivery" set (available here in the STROMSVIGT etsy shop.) once again for the journaling lines & the "Fragile".

The "+"es are from the "The good stuff" stampset. (available here in the STROMSVIGT etsy shop.)
I splattered some Mr. Huey's in brown and white (which is empty now... boo!) but covered all those splatters with the pictures...(((;

The Nea-alpha (available here in the STROMSVIGT etsy shop.), used to stamp "winter" unfortunately isn't available.
I added some tiny handdrawn '+'es

Some more detail-shots:

Here's a peek at Magdalena's take, hop over to her blog to see all and
find the entry to win something on Nina's blog like always!

I hope i could inspire you a bit. (;

Thats it for today!
see ya!!!

02 Juni 2014

STROMSVIGT 12 in '14 challenge June ... and maybe news for some of you...

Hey there,

Oh my,... it's JUNE already!
I can't believe how fast this year goes...

Ok, but you might not be here to philosophize about time perception, right!?
So here we go:

My layout following June's prompt "SEQUINS"

Title translate to "hi you little tickle monster" (;
Okay,... okay... i might not only have used ONLY sequins,... my hormones literally MADE me use more & more embellishments...(;

So i used watercolors & my Fiskars star punches to create these stars.

Pre-printed Studio Calico labels that I really love.

And, of course, i just many of my beloved STROMSVIGT stamps, including the "Special Delivery" set... that matches the topic of this layout PERFECTLY!! (;
I hope you like my really heavily embellished layout.

And just like every month - hop over to my fellow DT-members Magdalena & Jeanne to see what they created AND, Of COURSE, hop over to Nina to see her creation AND for a chance to win something!!!

So happy hopping - see you soon!

"12 in '14"-challenge no. 3 - OMBRÉ

Next month  -  next challenge!

This month Nina challenged us to create a layout under the prompt: OMBRÉ!

And here is my take on it:

I dared to play with paint again - and this time: I JUST LOVE IT!
Because it was not THAT messy? yes! (;
I had intended to go from black in the top right corner to white in the
bottom left corner, but after finishing the background
I thought that looked lame... so i turned it 180 degrees and
VOILÀ - it was muuuuch better.
Then I had the idea of using labels in different colors and shapes
and so I played with them until they were where they are now.
The second to last step was getting out all of my Stromsvigt stamps, finding
all kinds of words I liked for this layout and stamping them on
or next to the labels.
Finally I added the title. I knew it had to be big...and small...
so I got out these vintage puffy thickers and wrote out my title.
Here you can see that they are polka-dotted (;
 And to balance it out I added the subtitle with these tiny alpha stickers
by October Afternoon in the top right corner.
What do you think about it?
Now it's your turn.
Hop over to Nina's blog to see the other girls' take on this challenge
AND participate to have a chance to win! (;

SEE YA!

03 Februar 2014

12 in '14 challenge - February - paint

OK my dear readers...
Prepare yourself for something you haven't seen from me before...
A CRAZY PAINT MESS LAYOUT i prepared for the February 12 in '14 challenge dear Nina challenges herself, us (her design team) and YOU to take part in...

So here you go:

I warned you! (;
I started with gesso & then used watercolors, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists finally some of my Stromsvigt-stamps (the "+"-es and "_____________ is a beautiful thing").

I also added some paper accents cut with my Silhouette Cameo, some enamel dots & a wood veneer geotag.

What an adventure that was...thanks Nina for sending me on it!
If you feel inspired, go create and link yours up on Nina's blog!!!

See you there!

2 more digi-layouts

I loved working with the digital scrapbooking kit "Wanderlust" that my friend Heike created.
Here are the other two layouts:

The colors of the kit coordinated perfectly with my summer vacation pictures from the french westcoast.

Big LOVE (;

Have a wonderful day!

Revealing secret no.2

I've been urging to tell you about the second secret! (;
I've known Nina Christensen & her lovely stamps for quite some time.
When she asked me to join her design team I WAS SPEECHLESS!!!
(Thanks again Nina for having me!!!!)
So VOILÀ:
I'm
EXCITING, right!?
(Read her introduction of me on her blog right here.)
So when I received the stamps a few weeks ago, i knew I wanted to
USE THEM ALL
on my reveal-project.
So i tried my very best to include at least every stamp set.
And here is the page:
So i used the following sets: "The good stuff", "Classic you",
(Papers are from an older Studio Calico kit)
I really LOVE how this page turned out using only one picture,
some patterned papers and embellishments made by using
Nina's lovely stampsets (;
And here are some detail shots.
Can't wait to play some more! (;
THANKS AGAIN NINA! (;
I'm so excited what's to come (;

Have a wonderful day!
