12 in '14 challenge - February - paint

OK my dear readers...
Prepare yourself for something you haven't seen from me before...
A CRAZY PAINT MESS LAYOUT i prepared for the February 12 in '14 challenge dear Nina challenges herself, us (her design team) and YOU to take part in...

So here you go:

I warned you! (;
I started with gesso & then used watercolors, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists finally some of my Stromsvigt-stamps (the "+"-es and "_____________ is a beautiful thing").

I also added some paper accents cut with my Silhouette Cameo, some enamel dots & a wood veneer geotag.

What an adventure that was...thanks Nina for sending me on it!
If you feel inspired, go create and link yours up on Nina's blog!!!

See you there!

My PL week 44/2013

I'm slowly but surely making it & I'm still enjoying doing my Project Life album for 2013. I LOVE looking back at our year. So here is the complete week 44 - consisting of a 6x12 page protector (shown in picture 1 - front & back side by side) and a regular 12x12 page. I had fun using my "christmas present" (the january Studio Calico PL kit), lovely embellies given to me by Alexandra Boehnke, the globe & heart-shutter-camera stamps by my sweet friend Heike/meandmybutton and some little things from my stash.

The title card, put on the back side of the 6x12 PP (;
Insta-camera stamp by Marcy Penner for Studio Calico.

The second part of this week is quite simple, but it tells all. (;

Thanks for looking!

Christmas Cards

This year I sent out some happy mail to some dear instagrammers around the globe. And I loved seeing pictures pop up in my feed on instagram (if you don't follow me yet, find my gallery here).

Now that they all have reached their destinations i can post it here.
So HERE IT IS,
this year's INSTALOVE-CHRISTMAS-CARD.

12 layouts in '14 challenge - No. 1

Sweet Nina owner of "stromsvigt" has asked her design team if we would like to join her in creating a layout each month following a prompt.
This month's prompt is "Big title" & here's my take on it:

I had this A4-picture printed for one of the "Crop am Rhein" workshops 2011...It's a picture of the sunset over a clover-field in Southern England.
I loved it, but had no real idea how to put a layout together.
So when Nina posted "Big title" i knew that THAT was the solution!

I wrote the word "gorgeous" on a piece of cardstock and cut it out with my craft knife...YES, I do have a Silhouette Cameo and could've cut it with my beloved machine, BUT i wanted to do it right now, without having to take out my mac and put up the machine (I don't have a craft space...).

Once I laid it on the picture i knew i had to make the harsh contrast between pink cardstock and the black picture softer. So i took my border punches & a few other cardstocks in different colors and layered them.

I still felt that the layout was missing a connection between the picture & the layout. And so i created these little flowers with the Stampin' up flower & heart punches.

I added some bokeh-like vellum circles, a geotag & a journaling spot directly on the photo.

I ended the layout by stamping a border on the bottom with some "Stromsvigt" stamps.

Please hop over to Nina's blog and my team-mates Jeanne & Magdalena to see their take on the challenge!
