Christmas projects

End of November I decorated the wooden advent-calender
we had bought. I painted it with one coating of white acrylic paint
and during the drying time I used my circle and my scalopped circle
punch to punch 24 circles out of christmassy patterend
scrapbook-paper and stamped numbers on them.

We filled it with small sweets and the bigger presents
we layed in front of it!

In December it was time to prepare for Christmas.

Here is one of the gifts that I made - I forgot to take

photos of others! );

Christmas Eve (24th) was spent at home with my Mum and sister
and on the two following Christmas days we met with nearly
all of the other family members.

Except for the fact the I had a nasty cold/cough

IT WAS WONDERFUL having time with my family.

LOVE THEM DEEPLY!

A weekend-trip to Switzerland

In October one fellow geocacher had arranged for
8 of us to make a trip to Switzerland.

Some of us made a "short" (4 hour) trip into the earth,

to be precise: into Nidlenloch-cave.

We returned to the surface - leaving the others behind who wanted

to install ropes and stuff for the 10 hours trip on the following day!

When we arrived back in reality we sat down to savour/share

2 pieces of yummy homemade cake!

DELICIOUS!!!

The next day, the others returned to the darkness while
we enjoyed a wonderful hike!

Pure bliss!

It was a great experience - the second time I went into a no-tourist-cave,

and surely not the last time!

It is hard but oh so much fun!

The bruises we had afterwards were not so much fun, but it was worth it!

FINALLY: more creative things from the last months!

The last posts were almost creative-project-less.

But now I'll change that and show you pictures of projects

that have piled up on my hard-drive! (;

My sister and I sewed this pillow for our ballet-teacher Anja
who has given birth to a beautiful little boy!

Then I was asked to design a little pathtag-coin for
a fellow geocacher's son.

England - part VI - Devon & Cornwall

With our vacation coming slowly bur surely to and end

we finally reached that part of Southern England we had

feverishly looked forward to.

Devon and Cornwall

We arrived at the coast in Tintagel to climb the mountain topped

by the famous castle and enjoy the breathtaking view of the coast.

When we continued our daytrip to Land's End we got

bumped by a herd of cows

...stopped to walk up to famous men-a-tol (((;

...and finally reached foggy Land's End!

We had planned to visit "Minack Theatre"

but we arrived there shortly after 5 p.m. closing time...

So we decided to "circle"it by climbing on the rocks to get to peek inside

the theatre, but no way - we had our fun anyway!

...when we returned to our car, we already knew, that it would be to late to visit St. Michael's Mount, but we stopped anyway to take a blurred but beautifully colored shot.
