CAR 3 - finally - my results - PART I

There was a time, when a young woman went
out of her scrapbooking cave
to mingle with other crazy people sharing the same passion.
Her first time AT A CROP - the first time meeting other ADDICTS.
And WHO was that person that got her out of her cave???
Lovely NINA!
We had "talked" about CAR3 and I thought about it for some MINUTES (;
and when she said, she had booked and was searching for a room-mate
I WAS IN! (;
We booked the room the next day and the rest is history! (;

So after leaving work "early" @ 3 p.m. Friday the 8th of April
I drove to CAR3 (Crop am Rhein 3).
A more than 4 hour drive after a normal working day...
LET'S SAY: I arrived there just after 8 p.m.
Just in time for the Meet&Greet.
Nina and I met for the first time IRL and we felt right away,
that we were on the same wavelength!
(JA, auf Englisch existiert der gleiche Spruch!)

I was soooooo tired, but didn't sleep until late at night...

The next morning we started our first workshop @8:30!!!
BUT IT WAS SOOOOOO WORTH IT!
My first EVER scrapbooking-workshop was hosted by lovely
DANI PEUSS
the owner of my favourite scrapbooking-online-shop!

And here is my finished mini-album:
The little cow next to it is soooo appropriate for this vacation-mini,
as we had many enCOWnters - oh, what a joke! (;
Some details:
 This time I wanted to include some coordinates.
God knows why... (;
We do love our new punch - do we, Nina!?!?!? (;
 Isn't that fake-polaroid-style too cool!?
Thanks Dani!!!!
 More beloved punches - and some pages from the other mini
that I prepared for London! (;
LOVE that picture of us!
And LOVE the page! (;
RIGHT HERE:
The second book you see here is the road-book I took
to England with me, to scrap on the road, but I stuck to my
post-it notes (;
It's finally what it was meant to be: keeper of our holiday-story!

 An overview of our trip
 The pile of post-it-notes (;
 And the rest of the pictures and pages.
Just LOVE my Studio Calico stamps
YES - these views exist next to each other.
Two idyllic scenes - in a way! (;
 The next spread smells - of fennel!
I love this smell! (;
 Experimenting with leftover-pieces of punched
out paper and glimmer mist.
 And finally: the mini-book-home!
IT'S GROWING! (;
 ...that's it for tonight - too late already! (;
The next post is coming soon - I PROMISE! (;
A few more workshops-results to show! (;

NIGHT!

MY-VEGGIE-PROJECT

I've started a little project lately:

I've decided that I want to cook with vegetables that
I have never eaten or cooked before.
My mum has always cooked fresh every single day of my life!
(except for a very few days)
And since my man and I moved together 10 years ago,
I have been freshly cooking most of our meals, too.
Only exceptionally we buy ready-made food
(like pizza, "tarte flambée" or fish fingers)
for example when we don't have the energy to
cook after returning home late from work.

So, I started this project a few weeks ago and the
first vegetable was savoy cabbage.
We really loved it! It was so yummy that we'll have
it again tomorrow - I just bought another organic head.

But today's veggie was: fresh young organic spinach.
(I'm also quite new to pumpkin that accompanied the spinach today,
just started to eat it end of last year AND LOVE IT!)

Here are my ingredients:
...onion, garlic, pine nuts and parmiggiano....
 ...young fresh organic spinach and a slice of hokkaido pumpkin...
... and organic Penne-pasta.
 I chopped onion, garlic and pumpkin and roasted them together with the pine nuts.
Then I added some milk, chopped parmiggiano and spinach.
 After a few minutes I added ground pepper and
some instant vegetable broth and the pasta.
 READY!
It was soooooo easy and soooooo yummy!
I think from now on - I will prefer fresh
spinach to the frozen one I used to buy!

LESSON LEARNED - another vegetable added to the menu! (;
So this weekend we'll have savoy cabbage once again
and these pretties (their German name is
"Butterrübe" - butter beet/turnip -
I didn't find a translation or wikipedia-article.
We'll see how they will taste!

Have a nice evening!

Hello blogger-world – HELLO WEEKEND!!!

Not the best start into the weekend to be honest
- I started it today with a visit @ the dentists...
I had another appointment on Monday this week, where he revealed
to me that the tooth needed a crown... GREAT...
This morning they called me that it was already finished and
delivered from the dental laboratory and so I got an appointment @ 5 p.m.
The crown was put in and then there was a small thing that he had not
finished on Monday, he looked at it again and saw,
that he couldn't just fill it,
BUT HAD TO MAKE ANOTHER IMPRINT FOR ANOTHER CROWN!
AAAAAAAAH!
I'm just saving money for the wedding and
don't want to pay a little fortune to the dentist... );
Yeah, but such is life...

On to nicer things! (;

I crafted a simple card for my aunt who will celebrate
her birthday on Monday. Not really a patterned paper that I would
have bought, but I received the paper
for free from lovely Papierwerkstatt, when I ordered some other papers
and the border-punch I used here.
And I think she will love the colors! (;

I hope I will have some time to craft something this weekend!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
