Something creative! (;

In February I was asked to bind a custom wedding book for my boyfriend's colleague (here) - one of the guests at this wedding was so impressed by this book, that she contacted me to create one for her.
She sent me the invitation she had received from the friends that were going to be married so that I could see the style and color - and then I planned and bound. (;

Here is the making-of:

deciding on the fabric - matching the invitation
 ...cutting the paper, cardboard and fabric...
...piercing the paper...
 ...aligning it...
 ...sewing/binding it...
...glueing it...(maybe I would omit that next time...)
...glueing the fabric onto the cardboard...
FINISHED! (;
...we were hoping that velvet would be okay with the bride - AND IT WAS!!! (;
The Bride and her friend who arranged for the book to be made! (;

23rd of July, Schlossplatz Emmendingen

We saw a-ha perform in our hometown on the Schlossplatz
during their goodbye-tour...great concert - but oh so sad! );

At the the "Landesgartenschau" (county garden festival)

When my future-in-laws asked us to join them to visit the The Landesgartenschau (county garden festival) with them - we didn't want to go - because this is what OLD (; people do...
But it was not as bad - it was really nice!

Have a look:
autumn flowers
 handicrafts
"food for thoughts"
relaxing oasis'
fun (big tabletop soccer)
room for dreams!
THIS SHOULD BE OUR BACKYARD HOUSE/PAVILLION/GAZEBO

...we enjoyed it - DOES THAT MEAN WE'RE GETTING OLD!? (;
NOOOOOO! (;

Hipstamatic Love & World Cup 2010

There are many apps I have on my iPhone - but one I use really often is HIPSTAMATIC - just love the effects the different films and lenses put on your pictures! (;

On the road

World cup - "public viewing" (I know  -  this is how the Germans call it! (; )

Great experience - Germany shows national pride! (;
That's what soccer can do! (;

ULM

As promised (in JUNE!....) - here are the photos we took in ULM -
@THE Geocaching-Mega-Event of the year!

It was a GREAT event and we stayed and slept in a real FORTRESS!

It was raining cats and dogs on our 2-hour-trip to Ulm and we were not happy about sleeping in a lost place in a weather like that! );
 Sorry - not a good one, but the only one I had of the site!
The entrance on the model...
...and in reality! (;
 ...toilets!? - No, they were forbidden to use! (;
 Atmospheric shots of our "bivouac" - where we slept.

...there were some of the inhabitants...
The logbook! (;
The event-coin! GREAT!!!!

The last 3 photos were made by a photographer - THANKS!
There you can see more photos!
IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE and although there were more than 2000 geocachers - it was not crowded - because many of them were out in the woods! (;

I'm already looking forward to the next Mega-Event in Switzerland: The Geofarm.
